With the continuous active support of HKPCA members and potential members, AGM 2016 was held in great success on June 24, 2016. We were honoured to invite Professor Alvin Leung Seung Ming, Dean of Education, Faculty of Education, The Chinese University of Hong Kong to be our guest speaker to share with us his precious experience in “Career Development of Professional counsellors”. A total of 123 members/potential members joined the meeting, with 96.97% attendant rate. A dinner was followed after the meeting providing a good chance for members to socialize and have more informal sharing. As the oldest and most established organization representing professional counsellors in Hong Kong which constitute a broad representation of professional counsellors in Hong Kong, we will strive our utmost to continue to promote the standard of counselling practice in Hong Kong, to build professional network and offer ongoing education, to advance researches including the publication of studies in the field of counselling, to strengthen ethical standards, and to provide guidance for counselling education in Hong Kong. We also work towards enhancing the understanding and usage of counselling service, thus to advocate whole person development, wellness and mental health in Hong Kong.

The professional indemnity insurance for members of HK Professional Counselling Association Ltd. will be due for renewal on 30 September 2016.

We are pleased to advise that the renewal coverage has UPGRADED that the limit of indemnity is now increased to HK$7 million and HK$15 million respectively with SAME annual premium rates and terms as per existing policy.

Coverage period will be started from 1 October 2016 to 30 September 2017.

Attached please find the coverage summary and the declaration form for existing insured member or newly interested member to complete and return for application of insurance.

For interested member, kindly send the completed declaration form and coverage summary with cheque payable to “Charterlloyd Insurance Brokers Ltd” on or before 15 SEPTEMBER 2016, attention to  “Room 1905, 19/F, Fortress Tower, 250 Kings Road, North Point, HK”.
