Introduction: This is an experiential workshop for any helping professional who is interested in applying expressive arts in their services. Basic concepts of Expressive Arts Therapy will be introduced, with an emphasis on the person-centered approach. Multi-modal expressive arts is a kind of creative language which involves the body and all five senses, and can connect people with their inner selves on a deeper, more authentic level. It also provides a way for people to release, explore and transform their emotpicional experiences.pic

  • To introduce Expressive Arts facilitation in clinical practice, including individual counselling and group work.
  • To facilitate participants in understanding the person-centered expressive arts process.

Facilitator ‘s Introduction 導師簡介
Meko finished her study on Three-year Training Program in Expressive Arts Therapy-The Person-Centered Approach at The University of Hong Kong, and had obtained her Master of Social Science (Social Work) from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is now the co-chair of Expressive Arts Therapy Association of Hong Kong.

She is now working as a full-time social worker and an expressive arts therapist at a multi-purpose crisis intervention and support centre, and worked with adult survivors of sexual violence, domestic violence and dating violence for over 8 years. She has also practiced Person-Centered expressive arts therapy in different settings with diverse clientele, including survivors of sexual violence, children and youth witness of domestic violence, elder abuse, people with social anxiety and mood disorders, people with chronic illness and their carers, elders with mental health challenge, HIV orphans in Cambodia, children and women affected by human trafficking in Nepal, youth at risk and volunteers. She provides expressive arts trainings to local helping professions or overseas.

  • All applications fee is not refundable if attendants do not show up at class finally. We will notify you any update of your application by email upon receipt of your payment no later than 3 days before workshop Pls. also contact us at 2334 7172 or by email in case you do not hear from us one week before course training date.
  • Seminar enrollment is on first come first served For applicants who submit the form after deadline, HKPCA will only consider acceptance of seats provided that the course is not yet full.
  • HKPCA accepts photocopy of this application form for application purpose.
  • Registration will be cancelled if HKPCA discovers any incomplete or fault personal information.
  • HKPCA reserves the rights to change trainer, time, venue, course content and payment refund if necessary.
  • In case of Typhoon no. 8 or above is hoisted at the date of workshop or still hoisted 3 hours before workshop commences, the class will be cancelled accordingly without direct notice to applicants or postponed to a later date with further notice. All course fee will not be refunded for those who cannot attend the workshop.
